Paper Conservator, temporary employment for five months, full time, starting in August 2003. National Museum of Fine Arts in Stockholm, Sweden The National Museum of Fine Arts is situated in Stockholm Sweden and has approximately 150 employees. The museums collection of prints and drawings includes an important collection of European old master drawings and European architectural drawings. It is considered one of the ten major collections of the world in this field. It is the object of extensive art historical research by Swedish as well as international scholars. We are looking for a conservator to work with the collection of architectural drawings. The project includes both to undertake practical conservation and preventive work like improving storage for large format drawings. The paper conservation studio has a total of three employees and is a part of the Department of Collections. Applicants should have a recognized qualification in paper conservation and documented experience of work. Previous experience in conservation of large formats drawings and/or large format drawings is desirable. Non-Swedish applicants should be able to communicate in Swedish, Danish or Norwegian.
