Erasers

I am an Intern at the Harry Ransom Center of the University of Texas
in Austin. I am looking for information about erasers (including
sponges) especially for surface cleaning on paper and photographs. I
have been reading all published information that I can find on this
topic. Has someone done any researches on erasers in the last 3-5
years which might be not published? I would appreciate any
references.
