Pre-conference to the 69th IFLA General Conference and Council,
sponsored by IFLA Preservation and Conservation Section, IFLA Core
Activity for Preservation and Conservation, Akademie der
Wissenschaften and Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin with support from the
Council on Library and Information Resources

This intensive 2 1/2 day program is designed to inform and enable
library and archives administrators to effectively prepare for,
react and respond to, and recover from disasters, both natural and
man-made.  It will cover traditional and contemporary
materials--books, paper, photographs, and new media.

        initiatives

        Shield

        and the practice
