Here at the National Museum in Krakow, Poland, we use just our own template for preservation documents--in Word. Currently there is a project for unifying this documents within all National Museums in Poland--for better understanding and clearness while lending objects. There is a guideline for conservation documentation put up by the National General Conservator's office to be used by all conservation specialists. It is an obligatory document accompanying all major restorations and conservations. It includes: description of the object history technology description storing description state of preservation conservation programme description of conservation course advice for user drawings, photos etc. Michal Obarzanowski Sculpture Restoration Workshop National Museum in Krakow ul.Krupnicza 26 31-123 Krakow Poland +48 12 423 20 79 *** Conservation DistList Instance 16:61 Distributed: Wednesday, April 16, 2003 Message Id: cdl-16-61-013 ***Received on Friday, 11 April, 2003
