XML schema for conservation documentation

Following from Marlan Green's query (Conservation DistList Instance:
16:56 Monday, March 31, 2003), I have been working on an XML schema
for conservation documentation.  I am aware of Dublin Core and
related meta-data standards (e.g. CoPAR), the CIMI test-bed, and mda
Spectrum, all of which are useful starting points but lack the fine
granularity I am looking for.  In order to spend as little time as
possible reinventing the wheel, I would be grateful for any
references to detailed, conservation-specific work in this area or
off-list contact with other museum professionals interested in this
