Assistant Conservator (CRA4) University of London Library An exciting opportunity to further your experience working in a leading research-led University Library. Your role will be to offer conservation and preservation support. This will include conserving Library materials within agreed guidelines, administering programmes of preservation and conservation work, and deputising for the Library's Preservation/Conservation Officer as required. You will also have the opportunity to assist with the work of the Historic Collections Services and undertake some development activities. The successful applicant should possess sound knowledge and relevant experience in the conservation of both bound and flat material, ideally with previous experience in academic/research libraries. You will be responsible to the Library's Preservation and Conservation Officer, but need to be able to work unsupervised to pre-determined output levels. Experience in pamphlet conservation, conservation packaging and/or exhibition work would be an advantage. This post would be suitable for someone looking towards becoming an accredited conservator/restorer. Starting salary in the range UKP17,187 - UKP19,550 (incl. L.A.)
