Portrait miniature

I have received a pair of portrait miniatures on what appears to be
ivory by John Henry Brown from 1861.  One has been without a glass
for seven years and has sustained some serious damage.  The other
has been protected, but shows signs of deterioration for some
inherent vise in the artist's method's or materials.  I was hoping
to refer the owner to a specialist in such works. Any
recommendations would be appreciated.
