Subject: Call for papers--Conservation of paper, books, and photographic materials
First call for papers Australian Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Material (AICCM) Third Symposium for the Conservation of Paper, Books and Photographic Materials (Short title: Sydney Symposium 2004) Art Gallery of New South Wales April 1-3, 2004 The theme of the Symposium is Collaboration and Connections. These "interrelationships" can be explored between the object and those who connect with it. This may include the broader issues of historical investigation, or collaboration with colleagues, artists, framers, curators, librarians, archivists, scientists, historians, papermakers or indeed, the viewer. The object's significance is central to expanding our understanding and interpretation. The committee are planning a programme that will include papers from 10 to 25 minutes, workshops and posters. The accepted papers will be published as preprints. If you are interested in submitting an expression of interest or an abstract of approximately 200 words by the end of April 2003 the committee would welcome your participation. Financial assistance will not be available through AICCM.
