Course on gilding

There are still places available on the West Dean College course on
Specialised Techniques for Gilded and Decorative Surfaces, which
runs from the evening of April 6-9, 2003.

The Specialised Techniques of Gilded and Decorative Surfaces course
will provide participants with a greater understanding of making
techniques, an overview of materials and an opportunity to discuss
and compare options for conservation and restoration.  The course
will be mainly hands-on; participants will have the opportunity to
discover the materials and create samples of these decorative
techniques.

The course will be run by Judith Wetherall.
