JAIC 23 (1983):1-6, Wolf and Mibach
    JAIC 31 (1992):17-11, Beaver-Bricken Espinola
    JAIC 31 (1992):31-39, Greene

Offhand I would also consult D. Hamburg's discussion of the
treatment of a Katuba--or was it a Mizrach?--something about "das
Ganse Geschaeft".

Check also European publications, i.e. Restauro--since much work is
done for the churches in Germany and Austria. For all we know the
Vatican may have a position on the subject!

Museum XXXIV (1982):34-36, Losche and Walston discuss problems
    of sacral/taboo traditions
