Paper Conservator Assistant Paper Conservator Scottish Architects' Papers Preservation Project Salary range UKP14,200 - UKP23,400 Applications are invited for two fixed term appointments to September 30, 2004 within the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland <URL:http://www.rcahms.gov.uk/>. The paper conservator post is required to undertake detailed conservation treatment on late nineteenth and early twentieth century architectural drawings as part of an exciting project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. A qualification in the conservation of archives and/or works of art on paper and good communication skills are essential; experience of working within an archive and familiarity with IT are advantageous. Starting salary for the paper conservator would be no less than UKP15,741. The assistant paper conservator post is required to assist the paper conservators in their duties and carry out minor repair and preventative treatments. A related degree and/or experience are essential, experience of working within an archive and familiarity with IT are advantageous.
