We are looking for an enthusiastic conservator to job-share this
prints and drawings conservation post, working primarily on material
in our Prints and Maps collections. Guildhall Library Print Room
contains the Library's collection of engravings, drawings, maps and
photographs relating mainly to London history. The majority of the
prints and drawings are London topographical views from the 17th to
20th century  and we have an unrivalled collection of London maps,
dating from the 16th century to the present day. There are also
large collections of ephemera, Old Master prints and 18,000
photographs dating from the 1850s to date. The St Paul's Cathedral
Collection includes over 200 drawings from the office of Sir
Christopher Wren. Our conservation team currently consists of three
specialist Conservators and a Technical Assistant working under the
Senior Conservator.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, hold a recognised
professional qualification and have at least 2 years post
qualification experience of paper conservation with prints, drawings
or maps. Basic computer literacy, good team working skills and an
ability to work independently are also essential.
