Position Vacant: Head of Conservation Australian National Maritime Museum Executive Level 1 Salary AUS$62,464 - 67,451 per annum The Australian National Maritime Museum's superb conservation facilities are located within the Wharf 7 Maritime Heritage Centre, Pyrmont, Sydney. The Museum is currently seeking applications for Head of Conservation from experienced conservation managers/practitioners. This position offers a unique and challenging opportunity to contribute to Australia's maritime heritage. Duties: Manage conservation services for collection management and exhibition needs. Oversee established programs of conservation work and determine future priorities. Manage the documentation, preservation and conservation of the Collection. Plan and manage the Conservation Section's human and financial resources to achieve organisational outcomes and ensure annual performance strategies and key performance indicators are met. Manage complex conservation projects. Provide high level advice to the Assistant Director, Collections and Exhibitions. Develop and implement strategies for the long-term preservation of the Collection.
