Subject: Documenting conservation materials
**** Moderator's comments: Please respond directly to the author. Providing instructions and user tips for chemicals used by conservators and restorers is never easy. As a specialist distributor of chemical products one relies in the most upon knowledge being shared since the original intended use is usually far removed from the world of conservation. I am presently trying to upgrade a number of the data sheets we have for chemical products in our range, and would appreciate any user hints or guidance notes for the likes of Gum Elemi, Paraloid B44 and 48N, Plextol B500 and M630, Primal B60A (also known as AC33), Mowital B30H, PVA solid resin Vinapas and pre-vulcanized latex. Updating technical sheets not only helps future conservators and restorers but also ensures the continued availability of such products. Mark G.
