Postgraduate fellowship in objects and furniture conservation SPNEA The Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (SPNEA) seeks a candidate for a one-year postgraduate fellowship in objects and furniture conservation. Working in a northern Massachusetts lab, the fellow will focus on the treatment of objects and furniture from the Bowen House, an important Gothic Revival building, located in Woodstock CT, as well as material from SPNEA's 35 other historic properties, spread throughout New England. Participation in preventive conservation projects is expected as is occasional travel to SPNEA sites. Candidates must be graduates of a conservation training program or have equivalent experience and be legally entitled to work in the United States. The stipend is $20,000 with an additional $2,000 for travel. This position is contingent upon receipt of a grant.
