Textile Preservation Hangers

We have about 250 archival quality hangers remaining in stock: The
16 1/2 inch wide hangers are made of black polypropylene (this
plastic will not emit harmful gases as will wood and some other
plastics). These hangers have extra wide shoulders (5/16 inch at the
neck, flaring to 1 3/8 inch wide near the shoulder tips). The extra
width at the ends of the shoulders will help to spread the weight
more evenly. The hangers have extra-long, epoxy coated, steel hooks
measuring around 6 3/4 inches from the top of the hook to the top of
the hanger This should be adequate for most high collars. The
hangers' shoulders are sloped at approximately 20 degrees from the
horizontal, which is slightly more than the usual slope of modern
garment hangers. While this slope is not as severe as some modern
hangers for women's suits, it will allow for modification by the
addition of padding. The hangers may be easily cut with a
fine-toothed saw and smoothed with a file or sandpaper as needed.

Hangers are available only in boxes of 50 pcs at @$220.00/box
($4.40/each hanger)

We will consider making more hangers in the future only for orders
of 900 hangers or more. Thanks to all who helped in this project.
Sorry, but the archival cloth pads originally offered are no longer
available.
