The following is posted on behalf of Brighton and Hove City Council,
Brighton, Sussex, United Kingdom.

    Brighton and Hove City Council have a vacancy for a Historic
    Buildings Officer to be based in the Royal Pavilion, Libraries
    and Museum's Division of the Department of Culture and
    Regeneration.

    An experienced, enthusiastic and committed individual is needed
    to care for the Division's historic buildings, including the
    internationally famous Royal Pavilion. The post holder will be
    responsible for monitoring the condition of building structures,
    specifying and managing the programme of repair works, recording
    and archiving relevant information.

    The successful candidate will be a qualified architect or
    building surveyor. Experience in the restoration of historic
    buildings and a practical knowledge of traditional building
    methods is essential, together with proven project and budget
    management skills.

    37 hours per week. Scale M11 UKP23.451-UKP25,473 per annum
