ICOM-CC Wood and Furniture Working Group

I am writing as the New Co-ordinator for ICOM-CC Wood and Furniture
Working Group (ICOM-CC-W&F-WG).

(ICOM-CC <URL:http://www.icom-cc.org/> is the International
Committee for Conservation of the International Council of Museums
<URL:http://www.icom-cc.org>. It is the largest of the international
committees of ICOM with over 1500 members worldwide from every
branch of the museum and conservation profession Wood and Furniture
working Group covers all areas of wood such as wooden objects,
wooden furniture, ethnographic wood (totem poles etc) wood
technology and wood science. It is built up of specialists, who are
working or interested in conservation and restoration of wood and
furniture and actively communicate with their colleagues through
e-mail lists, newsletters, meetings and the Triennial meetings). As
the Co-ordinator for ICOM-CC-W&F-WG I would like to invite all those
who are working or interested in conservation and restoration of
wood and furniture to submit for the membership of the
ICOM-CC-W&F-WG and to inform and encourage others to do so.

As the Co-ordinator for ICOM-CC-W&F-WG, and as we intend to have a
very active group and to involve in a wide variety of activities, I
am sure that I need all the possible help could be provide by all of
you and your organizations and institutions and that we all need to
co-operate together to make our dreams become true. I would like to
invite all the working groups members, all colleges, organizations,
institutions, all those who interested in conservation and
restoration, all those who interested in the cultural heritage and
all friends to submit their suggestions for the next triennial
period (2002-2005) activities and program for the ICOM-CC-W&F-WG.
