Fairchild Fellowship in Objects Conservation
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston seeks applicants for an advanced
level Fellowship in Objects Conservation, funded by the Fairchild
Foundation.  The duration of the fellowship is 18 months.  The
pertinent collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston encompass
archaeological materials, American and European sculpture and
decorative arts, African, Oceanic and Asian objects and sculpture,
as well as contemporary works of art.  The Fairchild Fellow will
have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of treatments and to
participate in a wide range of conservation activities with
conservators, conservation scientists, collections care specialists
and curators.  The Fellow will have the opportunity to carry out a
publishable research project.

Applicants must have a master's degree in conservation and a minimum
of one year of practical experience beyond graduation.  Compensation
includes $25,000 stipend and a generous benefits package.
