Educational programs for visitors

I am looking for the successful experiences on direct and indirect
educational programs (tricks) for the visitors of a historical
monument/site specially dealing with the students of elementary
schools and residents of nearby areas as a part of visitor
management. Any comments would be appreciate and of great help,
