Conference theme:

Flat glass sheets are used in the housing and in the modern
architecture for construction purposes and for the new property of
the optics and mechanics. The possibility to shape and mould,
according to space geometries, increase the possibility of using
them to better enjoy the Cultural Heritage.

The problems about the preservation and protection of archeologic
finds and delicate hand-manufactured article, opens the area of use
to experimentation in the Museum field, (showcases, gangways,
coverages, [etc].)

Conference Goals:

The meeting goal is to stimulate interest about new uses of this
material by eventually putting in action applied research in the
field or new contracts.

    *   Plastic modelling possibilities of flat glasses sheets
    *   Confined places.
    *   Problematic aspects of transparent sheets  in museum
        preparation
    *   Glass and architectural language.
    *   Flat glasses sheets and monumental building restoration

Meeting objective: The meeting wants promote cooperation between the
processing/manufacturers of flat glasses sheets, the designers and
the museum keepers; in this way the glass becomes the biggest
protagonist.
