The City of Geneva is seeking for the Musees d'art et d'histoire
(Museum of art and history) a Head of Conservation for its research
laboratory and conservation workshops.

Duties:

    *   Management of the of the scientific, administrative and
        financial activities of the research laboratory and the
        conservation workshops in accordance to the general
        guidelines of the Musees d'art et d'histoire, and
        supervision of staff.

    *   Supervision of the conservation, restoration and
        scientific examination of objects from the collections of
        the Musees d'art et d'histoire according to the guidelines
        of the department.

    *   Promotion of the sections scientific activities in relation
        to the museum collections by means of internal reports,
        scientific papers and exhibitions.

Conditions:

    *   University degree in chemistry, physics or biology and
        experience in the application of physico-chemical techniques
        in the examination of works of art and archaeological
        objects.

    *   Resident in the Canton of Geneva

Starting date: 1 January 2003
