Nonionic soaps for cleaning leather

From: Javier Tacon Clavain <restauracion>

In the guidelines for the conservation of leather and parchment
bookbindings, published by the Koninklijke Bibliotheek
<URL:http://www.kb.nl/kb/resources/frameset_kb.html?/kb/ict/dea/ltp/ltp-en.html>,
there are a list of formulas intended for both surface cleaning or
dressing leather, most of which contains neutral (nonionic) soap as
emulsifier and de-fatting agent. Has anyone proven(?) those formulas?
I would be grateful for information on neutral (non ionic) soap
appropriate for its use.
