I have been considering the use of synthetic zeolites, i.e.
molecular sieves, for absorbing acetic acid from decaying microfilm.
Has anyone used molecular sieves? One vendor said this material is
reactive with water, "liberating extreme heat." That was enough to
keep me from trying them.
