Development Officer
The Conservation Register
UKIC

The Conservation Register is the information source on conservation
and restoration practices offering services to individuals and
organisations, covering the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is run by
the United Kingdom Institute for Conservation, in collaboration with
Historic Scotland, and in partnership with the National Council for
Conservation-Restoration.

The database was first created some ten years ago, and is now to be
significantly developed, extensively promoted and made far more
widely available. The aim is to confirm the Register as the primary
information service on conservation-restoration expertise, and in
due course of practices run solely by professionally accredited
conservator-restorers. This three-year enhancement project is funded
in principally by the Heritage Grant Fund of English Heritage, by
Resource and Historic Scotland.

We are seeking someone to take on the development of the Register.
This is an important and exciting post, calling for a wide range of
skills and an understanding of the conservation-restoration
profession.

The starting salary for this three year fixed term post will be
between GBP 24,000 and GBP 26,000. The intended starting date is 1st
October. Details of the post are available from
