Hosts for ICOM-CC Triennial Meeting

Request for venue proposals for the ICOM-CC Triennial Meetings 2005
and 2008

The Committee for Conservation of ICOM <URL:http://www.icom-cc.org>,
which is holding its 13th Triennial Meeting in Rio de Janeiro
September 2002, is interested in receiving submissions from National
Committees of ICOM (in partnership with national
conservation-restoration organisations) to host future triennial
Conferences in 2005 and 2008.

The conferences have an International attendance of up to 1000
delegates, and present the state of the art of conservation and
preservation. They highlight national professional developments and
issues.

Our goal is to find a European venue for 2005. In 2008 we would
favour a host outside Europe, especially in Asia or Africa.

Upon receipt of expressions of interest, ICOM-CC will supply a more
detailed statement of criteria.

Our objective is to announce the 2005 conference in September 2002,
and the 2008 venue before September 2005.
