RFID systems

Can anyone assist with information on preservation issues relating
to the use of RFID (radio frequency ID) technology in library
management systems (e.g. how does the technology impact on
paper-based  and other media?) Typically these systems comprise a
tag, a reader and antenna. Vendors include 3M, Acumen Business
Solutions, Checkpoint Systems, Gem plus, ID systems, Intrepid
Security Systems and 'Intellident' Systems.
