The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE)

The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE),
an internationally renowned organization specializing in the
scientific study of museum artifacts and their materials, has a job
opening for an Analytical Chemist.  The incumbent provides expertise
and services in the examination and analysis of museum objects.  The
ideal candidate will have a degree in Analytical Chemistry, Masters
preferred, and be experienced in the operation of ICP-MS and laser
ablation ICP-MS.  Knowledge of and experience with XRD is highly
desirable, as well as experience working with small samples.
