Dura-Lar

Does anyone have any information on Dura-Lar "the acetate
alternative"?

The Grafix website says that the product is archivally safe and
other than the fact that is is polyester, I can not find any more
information than that.  Since it is readily available in town, we
are looking at it as an alternative to Mylar.  Not only as a barrier
but possibly for encapsulation.
