Oriental Institute Museum, University of Chicago

The Oriental Institute Museum, University of Chicago is pleased to
offer a one-year post-graduate internship in the conservation of
archaeological materials beginning in the fall of 2002.  The Getty
Conservation internship program is supported by The Getty Grant
Program and the Luther I. Replogle Foundation.  The 12-month
position will provide the intern with the opportunity to work on the
restoration of monumental large-scale stone reliefs as well as a
variety of smaller archaeological objects encompassing a range of
materials.  In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to
carry out a research project to be mutually decided upon.

The internship includes a stipend of $26,430 plus benefits.  An
additional $3,500 is available for travel and research.  As required
by the Getty Grant Program, eligible candidates must be graduates of
a recognized training program who will have graduated within 3 years
of application.  Interested applicants should submit a letter of
