Stone Eye Exhibition

Richard Taylor, Kentucky's most recent poet laureate, and Gray
Zeitz, letterpress printer and owner of Larkspur Press, have
produced the collection of poetry Stone Eye. Thirty-one bindings of
this book have been made by bookbinders from the Midwest and
throughout the country. All of these binders are members of the
national group Guild of Book Workers.

The Midwest Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers has organized an
exhibition of these individually designed and hand-bound books. GBW
Midwest Chapter member Pamela Rups of Western Michigan University is
producing a multimedia print and digital exhibition catalog. The
exhibition catalog consists of both an abbreviated print version as
well as multimedia CD, which includes the bindings, readings by the
poet, views of Kentucky, and traditional Kentucky old-time music.
