The SERCA Board gratefully acknowledges a grant from the Foundation
of the American Institute for Conservation (FAIC) for supporting the
program. Tru-Vue and Purafil have also made valuable contributions
to the Annual Meeting.

Registration:  Saturday, March 23, 2002, 8:30 am Advance
registration is $35 for AIC members;  $50 for non-AIC members or
Site registration.  Student registration is $10.

    Lecture "Microclimate Housings for Works of Art" by Hugh Phibbs,
    National Gallery of Art, Washington, D. C.

10-noon
    Hands-on workshop on fabricating housings for those bringing
    their own tacking irons to be conducted by Hugh Phibbs.

Noon-1:30
    Lunch on your own at local restaurants

1:30-2:30
    Lecture "Practical Applications of Reactivity Monitoring in
    Museums and Archives"  by Chris Muller, Technical Services
    Manager, Purafil, Inc., Doraville, GA.

2:30-3
    Break, refreshments courtesy of Etherington Conservation Center

    Lecture "Microclimate Enclosure for the Declaration of
    Independence"  by Don Etherington, Etherington Conservation
    Center, Greensboro, NC.

    St., Greensboro (local conservators will provide carpooling from
    the Fairfield Inn)

    Gordon A. Lewis, Jr., The Fine Arts Conservancy, West Palm

Hotels: A block of rooms is being held for SERCA at the Fairfield
Inn ( I-40 and Highpoint Rd), 2003 Athena Court, Greensboro, NC
27407. 336-665-6523, ask for Joanna Harris.  Meeting rate is $59.00
single/double plus tax; the cut-off date for the guaranteed rate is
March 1, 2002.

A reception packet with restaurant information, etc. will be
available at check-in.

Other hotels are the Comfort Inn 336-294-6220, and the O. Henry
Hotel 336-854-2000.

There is no cab service at the airport.  Airport Express runs a
shuttle from the airport to local hotels.  Fare: $18.  Return trip
reservations can be made.  Airport Express' telephone number is
336-668-0164.  Cars also can be rented at the airport.
