Degree program in conservation of industrial heritage

New degree in conservation of industrial heritage (CROSTH)

The school of applied arts of the canton of Neuchatel (HEAA)
announces the opening of a new conservation degree in Switzerland.
This four-year full time programme focuses on the conservation of
our industrial heritage. The students will be working on scientific
and technical instruments, as well as objects including mechanical
and electrical mechanisms such as found for example in clockworks.
All teaching is being done in French. German or English however are
also spoken on a daily basis.

This degree is a joint collaboration of the HEAA, the Musee
international dmhorlogerie (MIH/IHT) and the Ecole dmingenieurs du
canton de Neuchatel (EICN). It complements the degree in
conservation of archaeological and ethnographic artefacts that
opened in 1997.

The successful candidates must either have a maturite
professionelle, a maturite federale, a French baccalaureat, or a
title judged equivalent by the administration to be able to apply.
Applications are accepted until end of June 2002, the programme
starts on the 21st of October 2002.
