There's an article in The Paper Conservator, volume 18, 1994 by Paul
Cook and Julie Dennin entitled: 'Ships Plans on Oil and Resin
Impregnated Tracing Paper: a Practical Repair Procedure'. The
authors describe a method for easing out folds and creases using
humidification with 'Gore-Tex' followed by drying using polyester
film (Melinex). I can forward a copy of this, if necessary.
