Scholarships and Bursaries 2002/2003

West Dean College is pleased to announce that three new scholarships
have been established for students in the academic year 2002-2003.

West Dean College offers graduate, postgraduate and professional
development diplomas in the Conservation and Restoration of Books
and Library Materials, Antique Clocks, Antique Furniture, Fine
Metalwork, and Ceramics and Related Materials, as well as in the
Making of Early Stringed Musical Instruments and Tapestry Weaving.
Postgraduate diplomas are validated by the University of Sussex.

These courses are recognised by leading public and private sector
organisations for their high quality resources and advanced level
skills. The small number of students allows for a high level of
personal tuition. Tutors are practising professionals who continue
working to commission alongside their students, thus providing an
invaluable insight into the commercial world of students' chosen
subjects.

The three new scholarships are:

    The St Roche's Scholarship
Two years' tuition and accommodation fees (plus termly
allowance) for a student intending to study on both the
        postgraduate and professional development diplomas
Eligibility: students on the Clocks programme

The Percy and Irene Dawson Bursary
Part tuition fees for one year
Eligibility: students on the Clocks programme
