Assistant or Associate Objects Conservator

A large east-coast cultural institution seeks to hire an objects
conservator in its anthropology department.  The artifacts in the
collection are primarily ethnographic and archaeological.
Responsibilities include: examination, documentation and treatment
of a wide variety of cultural objects, primarily for loan and
exhibition, as well as assisting in general conservation activities,
such as climate and pest monitoring, mount design, technical
studies, and supervision of interns.  Successful candidate must have
excellent communication, documentation and hand skills, as well as
be highly organized and efficient.  Minimum requirement is degree
from recognized graduate level conservation training program plus at
least three years work experience in archeological/ethnographic
objects conservation.  Interested candidates should send resume and
