Preservation fair

Saving Your Family Treasures: Preservation Fair 2002
Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh
Saturday, February 23, 2002
10am-4pm

Visitors are invited to bring examples of objects and talk directly
with conservators about preservation options.  Visitors can also
talk with vendors of conservation supplies and services, attend a
series of short lectures on the importance of saving family records
and pick up free handouts and catalogs.

Featured speaker is Andrew Carroll, author of War Letters:
Extraordinary Correspondence from American Wars.  He will be joined
by Dennis East, University of Pittsburgh Archives Service Center,
Ron Baraff, Rivers of Steel Heritage Area and Richard Cox,
University of Pittsburgh Department of Library and Information
Science in a group of lectures on the importance of preserving our
personal histories.  1-3 pm in the Carnegie Lecture Hall, which you
can enter through the Museum.

Free with Museum Admission.  Convenient visitor parking is available
in the Museum's six-level garage at Forbes Avenue and South Craig
Street.
