Library binding automation

From: Marco Smits <marco>
Date: Tuesday, December 18, 2001
This message is meant to keep the library binding and preservation
community informed about the latest developments in library binding
automation. Previously on this list the ILS Data Capturing utility
LINC has been introduced. Many of the readers of the list will be
interested to hear a second large library binder, ICIBinding
Corporation, has reached an agreement with SF-Systems regarding the
new library binding preparation program called LINCPlus. An earlier
agreement was signed in September with Heckman Bindery Inc.

LINCPlus will combine screen text capturing technology, currently
used in our LINC software utility, with advanced features found in
our BindPro products and other binding application you might be
familiar with.

Two press releases have been issued on this topic since the ALA in
San Francisco. See
