Digital Imaging Specialist The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) The National Archives and Records Administration has a job opening for a Digital Imaging Specialist to work in the digital imaging lab of the Special Media Preservation Laboratory, College Park, Maryland. Position: Digital Imaging Specialist (Preservation), GS-1001-11/12. Salary Range: $44,352 to $69,099. Duties: Serves as a Digital Imaging Specialist in the Special Media Preservation Laboratory. Performs duties associated with digitizing original archival records and photographic originals and intermediates, printing facsimiles and exhibit prints, and the long-term management and preservation of digital image files. Provides management and program analysis of reformatting records using digital imaging technology and of the long term management and maintenance of digital image files. Specialist shall have experience scanning, image processing, image enhancement, color management, and hardcopy output; configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of computer hardware (Mac and Windows) and software (Photoshop); operation of scanners, printers, digital cameras, and related photographic equipment; and the management of digital image files and associated metadata.
