Conservator of Paintings in private practice seeks individual(s) to
fill positions of Assistant and/or Associate Conservator
*immediately*.  Duties will include examination, documentation, and
treatment of both antique and modern paintings from public and
private collections as well as the trade. Photography and computer
skills a strong plus.  The Assistant Conservator is an entry-level
position, suitable for recent recipients of certificates/degrees in
conservation or applicants with comparable practical training.  The
Associate Conservator should have 3-5 years of postgraduate
experience, and will be expected to undertake independent treatment
as well as managerial and supervisory duties.  All applicants will
be considered. Preference will be given to those with demonstrable
conservation and restoration skills.  Compensation commensurate with
previous experience and demonstrated ability.  Fixed-term contract
employment a possibility for the right applicant.

Conservation Technician/Studio Assistant: Conservator of Paintings
in private practice seeks individual to fill position of
Technician/Studio Assistant *immediately*.  Duties will include
registration and documentation; organization, maintenance and
routine operation of studio in an active private practice;
entry-level examination and treatment of paintings.  Photography and
computer skills are prerequisites.  Practical experience in
chemistry preferred.  This is an ideal opportunity for preprogram
trainees seeking experience in painting conservation, although all
applicants will be considered.  Compensation commensurate with
previous experience and demonstrated ability.  Fixed-term contract
employment a possibility for the right applicant.
