Policy on electronic art

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is entering the collecting realm of
electronic art.  Our Collections Management Team is in the process
of formulating a policy to guide us in decisions about acquisitions
as well as long term preservation issues.  I am looking for any
examples of formal policies in the area of collecting electronic art
that may be in place in institutions that collect this genre. Any
suggestions on issues our policy should address would also be
appreciated.
