Subject: Repairing bronze
I have received a bronze image broken into two pieces. The halo is an open work with many figures attached to it with the help of small bars. In the present case the halo is broken in to two pieces and a figure detached from it. The joining bars of the figure is also missing. Use of epoxy is common in general. Can any one suggest any other technique especially when new studs are to be added? Is there any welding technique which does not change the colour of the surrounding metal while joining the new parts?
