You certainly run the risk of failure every time with B-72 in a 50/50 acetone/IMS (ethanol) mixture. I never recommend that you use more than 20% ethanol. The drying rate does not slow down much after a 15% ethanol addition, and because ethanol is so hygroscopic, the acrylic neither bonds well, nor sets properly. Acrylics (as solvent adhesives) despise water. Try a 95:5 or 90:10 mixture and make the adhesive slightly thinner (but only slightly) and you should have excellent results.
