You certainly run the risk of failure every time with B-72 in a
50/50 acetone/IMS (ethanol) mixture. I never recommend that you use
more than 20% ethanol.  The drying rate does not slow down much
after a 15% ethanol addition, and because ethanol is so hygroscopic,
the acrylic neither bonds well, nor sets properly. Acrylics (as
solvent adhesives) despise water. Try a 95:5 or 90:10 mixture and
make the adhesive slightly thinner (but only slightly) and you
should have excellent results.
