From: Martha Jackson <mjackson>
Date: Wednesday, September 26, 2001
The Milton S. Eisenhower Library (MSEL) of the Johns Hopkins
University has a reputation for providing training and educational
opportunities in the field of preservation and conservation. There
are plans underway to establish a new training and educational
program at MSEL. This program is open to book and paper
conservators, curators, archivists, librarians, book and paper
craftspeople, hobbyists, etc. The curriculum will include both
theory and hands-on lessons. If you or someone you know are
interested in this opportunity, please respond to the questions
below by October 10, 2001. Send your responses via e-mail to Martha
Edgerton (mjackson [at] jhu__edu)

    1. What needs do you have for further training in book and/or
        paper preservation and conservation?

    2. Would you be interested in taking fun and creative workshops
related to book and paper art as distinguished from
        preservation and conservation concerns alone?

    3. Please circle all topics or subjects that interest
        you--suggestions welcome:
