The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art seeks a Photograph Conservator to
fill a temporary position within the Sherman Fairchild Center for
Works on Paper and Photograph Conservation. The Assistant
Conservator will be hired to carry out the documentation and
treatment on Richard Avedon photographs for an upcoming exhibition
at the Museum: Avedon's Portraits. 1200-1500 hours have been slated
for completion of the work that will involve the reduction of
pressure sensitive tapes and adhesives from large and medium format
black-and-white images. A degree from a graduate conservation
program or commensurate experience is required. Please direct
