Funding for outdoor sculpture condition assessments

With support from the NEA through fall 2002, Save Outdoor Sculpture!
is surveying more than 400 permanent outdoor sculptures commissioned
by NEA, Art in Public Places, between 1967 and 1992.  75 grants will
be distributed to fund an on-site condition assessment by a
conservation professional.  All remaining sculptures will be
surveyed using the self-assessment form from the Inventory of
American Sculpture.  The results of the survey will be provided to
the Inventory at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. To learn more,
