Photographic Conservator National Archives and Records Administration The National Archives and Records Administration is seeking a photographic conservator to work in its College Park, MD, facility to perform conservation treatment on photographic materials in its holdings. These include mounted and unmounted photographs, monochrome photographic prints (including gelatin printed-out and developed-out prints, albumen prints, salted paper prints, carbon prints, and resin coated prints) color and black-and-white photographic positives and negatives and their supports, photographs with film supports, glass photographs, daguerreotypes and ambrotypes in their cases, tintypes, and unusual hybrids. The conservator may also treat microfilm, motion picture film, and paper-based records. The successful applicant will be expected to teach workshops on the care and handling of photographs. Position is a full time senior position at the GS-12 level (salary range $53,156 - $69,009) with benefits.
