Khmer glazed stoneware

Does anyone have experience in stabilizing Khmer glazed stoneware?
I'm particularly interested in the materials and methods you settled
on to desalinate the ceramics and treat flaking or lifting glaze.
What other problems have you found, and how have you handled them?
