Subject: PADIUpdate database
The PADI web site <URL:http://www.nla.gov.au/padi> is a comprehensive international subject gateway for the exchange of information on all aspects of digital preservation. Global cooperation has been a key focus of the PADI initiative to date, with users from around the world searching for resources, suggesting new resources and participating in PADI's discussion list, padiforum-l. This cooperative approach has recently been extended with the introduction on 27 June of the PADIUpdate interface for directly contributing records to the PADI web site. The National Library of Australia invites all those with an interest in ensuring continuing access to digital information to visit and use the site at <URL:http://www.nla.gov.au/padiupdate>. An online Help Manual is available to assist users, as well as selection guidelines for choosing resources which fall within the scope of the PADI database. To register as a new indexer, or obtain further information about PadiUpdate, please contact the PADI Administrator at padi [at] nla__gov__au. Feedback on use of the new system is encouraged, and should be forwarded to the same address.
