Subject: Claes Oldenburg
I am a student at the University of Canberra, studying conservation of cultural materials. For my final year research project, I am conserving the plastic on 'Profile Airflow' 1969 by Claes Oldenburg. The plastic is a polyurethane and the artwork is held in the collection of the National Gallery of Australia. I was wondering what analysis, storage and display environments and conservation treatments have been undertaken on copies held in other institutions. Any information would be greatly appreciated and in return, I would be happy to give a summary of my results.
